Common questions

Which calculator tells me how many lots I should trade?

The position size calculator answers that. You enter your account balance, the percentage you are willing to risk, your entry and your stop distance, and it returns a lot size in gold terms where 1 standard lot is 100 oz. It converts risk into size, so you are not guessing at a lot figure.

How do I know what one pip is worth on my gold position?

Use the pip value calculator. For XAU/USD one pip is 0.01, and the value scales with your lot size, so a 0.10-lot position and a 1.00-lot position do not carry the same per-pip peso amount. The tool shows the figure in your chosen currency, which helps when you think in ₱.

What is the margin calculator for if my broker sets the leverage?

It shows the cash your broker will hold against a position, which is not the same as your risk. At the applicable cap, a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin, but your loss if price moves against you can exceed that. The margin calculator answers how much is tied up, not how much you can lose.

Can I estimate profit before I enter a gold trade?

Yes, with the profit calculator. You give it your entry, exit and lot size, and it returns the gain or loss in money terms, using 1 lot = 100 oz and one pip = 0.01. It is arithmetic, not a forecast: it tells you what a move is worth, not whether the move will happen.

Where do pivot points fit into these tools?

The pivot points calculator derives levels from the prior session's high, low and close, which some traders use to frame support and resistance for the day. It is a reference, not a signal, and it depends on which session you feed it. Pair it with your own risk limits rather than treating the levels as instructions.
